Nevada City Deck Rebuild Project

This local Nevada City deck rebuild project was a great project. We demolished and existing deck that was unsafe and was multi level. The deck is the entry to the house and needed to show case this 1930’s home with elegance and simplicity.

 

Once the demo was complete we found he 2 porch post had extensive dry rot that needed to be addressed so we replaced the posts and wrapped. Them in redwood, that added size added a nice elegant e to the deck. We did have our challenges with the house having old existing vinyl siding which we disassembled and where re-install all the pieces to make sure it looked like the original.

 

We install new Trex “Select” decking picture framed, with redwood Hotwire handrails to maximize the clients lovely yard. We also increased the the concrete landing at the bottom of the entry stairs to give the entry a grander feel.
